Alderley Edge is a village and civil parish within the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 4,409.
Alderley Edge lies some 5 miles (8 km) to the northwest of Macclesfield and 12 miles (19 km) south of Manchester. It is situated at the base of a steep and thickly wooded sandstone ridge - Alderley Edge, which is the area's chief topographical feature.
