Richmond Hill (2006 population 162,704, 2011 Estimate: 191,000) is a town located in Southern Ontario, Canada in the central portion of York Region, Ontario. It is part of the Greater Toronto Area, being located about halfway between Toronto and Lake Simcoe. It is about 3 miles (5 kilometres) north of the Toronto city limit, Steeles Avenue and about 12 miles (20 kilometres) north of the downtown core of Toronto.
