This child- and family-friendly all-inclusive hotel occupies extensive, car-free grounds amidst the beautiful natural landscape of Upper Styria.
Located in the heart of the Mürzer Oberland Nature Reserve, Kinderhotel Appelhof is about 120 km away from both Vienna and Graz.
This renovated former farmhouse features spacious “fairy tale apartments” with separate bedrooms for parents (with four-poster bed) and children (with motifs from fairy tales).
At the Appelhof all meals and drinks are included in the price. Rich buffets are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Baby food is also available.
The “Märchenburg” (fairy tale castle) is a 1,000 m² indoor playground on 2 levels. The outdoor playground is an amazing 8 hectares in size, which is bigger than 12 football fields. There you will find a pony ranch, a petting zoo (goats, bunnies, small cows, llamas, owls), a trampoline facility, a pirate ship, a big sandbox, a bouncing castle, go-carts, electric cars, a climbing wall, and much more.
The children's club provides professional child and baby care every day between 09:00 and 19:00. A varied entertainment programme (children's disco, game evenings, crafts, etc.) is also offered.
Many activities are offered for children and adults alike, including river crossings, abseiling, climbing, bouldering, campfires with barbecue, building an igloo in winter, hikes, etc. Bicycles are also available (free of charge for children, at a small fee for adults).
In winter an easy ski slope and a mini ski school are available. Ski equipment for children is included in the price. There is also a ski rental (also for cross-country skis and skates). Toboggans can be rented free of charge.
Baby monitors, prams, pushchairs, back carriers, bottle warmers, baby bathtubs etc. are available for the youngest guests.
After an eventful day you can relax in the pool area, featuring a baby pool, an indoor and an outdoor pool, or in Kinderhotel Appelhof's spa area.
